Embodying the Passions: a baroque workshop with Julia Wedman
Join us for an interactive and fun baroque music workshop with Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra violinist Julia Wedman! Open to all levels of music making, Julia will talk about ways to help music sound more “baroque”, including the way we think about ourselves and our roles as musicians.

Join us for an interactive and fun baroque music workshop with Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra violinist Julia Wedman!
Open to all levels of music making, Julia will talk about some of her favourite ways to help music sound more “baroque”, including the way we think about ourselves and our roles as musicians in our community, influences of historically informed acting techniques in the embodiment of “the passions” and some of her favourite ways to approach ideas passed down to us through 17th and 18th Century instruction manuals.
Wear comfortable clothing because we might move around a little, and bring your instrument!
Open to players of string and woodwind instruments, all ages 12 and up
